$1.8 Million - Failure to Diagnose Tumor

 This client a 69-year-old father of a child with special Needs suffered an untimely and painful demise because of the defendant's physicians repeatedly ignoring radiological evidence of recurrent malignancy which manifested as an increased mass in the peritoneal area with the eventual development of large bilateral retroperitoneal and retro-psoas tumors.  Our expert opined that several Ct scans suggested signs of a significant recurrence of prior malignancy.  Additionally, the defendants failed to perform the suggested MRI and rule out a possible neoplasm.  By the time the appropriate diagnosis was rendered, it was too late to perform any curative operative management and the client suffered an unnecessary and painful untimely demise.
