Boja Kragulj, a clarinetist from New York, has claimed that Manhattan dentist Martha Cortes performed a botched dental procedure on her that resulted in irreversible bone loss. The clarinetist has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against the dentist in the Manhattan Supreme Court. Kragulj, who has previously performed in Philadelphia and New York, claimed in her $10 million lawsuit that she now faces premature aging due to the botched procedure.

Lorraine Evans, now 85, woke up in the hospital after a routine biopsy procedure to find that her jaw had been broken during the procedure, and she had been handed a $14,000 medical bill. Unaware of the extent of the damage initially, she went to see another doctor for the pain and discovered how badly she had been dealt with at her previous hospital. She filed a medical malpractice lawsuit at Bronx Supreme Court in 2015 against the hospital responsible for the incident.

NYC Man Paralyzed After Spending Two Hours Untreated in Lincoln Hospital ER

A Lincoln Hospital patient was left paralyzed after having to wait two hours in the ER before receiving treatment. In Sep. 2014, Anthony Medlin was brought into the hospital by ambulance and was wrongfully declared low risk by the staff. His condition was labeled as a minor facial injury, but it was far more severe in reality. 

Medlin was examined by a physician after his two-hour wait and was immediately taken for surgery. But by the time the surgery was done, he was irreversibly paralyzed from the waist down.
